"EN PLEIN AIR" OUTDOOR PAINTING PROGRAMS
These Outdoor Advanced Level Painting programs offer fine oil painting instruction in scenic outdoor locations throughout San Diego ~ a different vista each week. This is Concetta's favorite process and source of most of her beautiful gallery works. You'll learn everything from which necessary art supplies, are required, to color mixing, composition and other fundamental techniques are needed to create a painting in one session while painting en plein air!
ADVANCED LEVEL OUTDOOR PAINTING
Requires Beginning or Intermediate Level programs to be completed as a prerequisite
All Advanced Level programs meet once a week for five weeks, totaling 17.5 hours of instruction
Maximum student enrollment of 8 students
Learn techniques mastered by the Impressionists to paint trees, water, rock and sky in just one sitting
Capture light and shadow; determine fundamentals of composition and design
Techniques for creating atmosphere, color theory, values, edges, and simplification of shapes all combine to interpret the essence what you see

"I am finding inspiration to paint everything and everywhere. Therefore my view finder and I had an argument when I chose my view... I won. I tried to paint a man sitting on a bench playing guitar in front of a pink blossomed tree. I named him Antonio! Then there was my pallette... Yikes.. Ran out of yo and cyl and my white was no longer white. Nonetheless, I felt such peace in the park... So my painting makes me feeI happy.. I smile and giggle when I look at it and can still can hear Antonio playing.... He is immortalized.
